CAPITULO 17 NOTA DE SUBPARTIDA 2

Subheading 1701.13 covers only cane sugar obtained without centrifugation, whose content of sucrose by weight, in the dry state, corresponds to a polarimeter reading of 69° or more but less than 93°. The product contains only natural anhedral microcrystals, of irregular shape, not visible to the naked eye, which are surrounded by residues of molasses and other constituents of sugar cane.

CAPITULO 24 NOTA DE SUBPARTIDA 1

For the purposes of subheading 2403.11, the expression “water pipe tobacco” means tobacco intended for smoking in a water pipe and which consists of a mixture of tobacco and glycerol, whether or not containing aromatic oils and extracts, molasses or sugar, and whether or not flavoured with fruit. However, tobacco free products intended for smoking in a water pipe are excluded from this subheading

For the purposes of the subheadings of heading 27.10, the term “biodiesel” means mono-alkyl esters of fatty acids of a kind used as a fuel, derived from animal or vegetable fats and oils whether or not used.

For the purposes of subheading 2852.10, the expression “chemically defined” means all organic or inorganic compounds of mercury meeting the requirements of paragraphs (a) to (e) of Note 1 to Chapter 28 or paragraphs (a) to (h) of Note 1 to Chapter 29.

For the purposes of heading 30.02, the expression “immunological products” applies to peptides and proteins (other than goods of heading 29.37) which are directly involved in the regulation of immunological processes, such as monoclonal antibodies (MAB), antibody fragments, antibody conjugates and antibody fragment conjugates, interleukins, interferons (IFN), chemokines and certain tumor necrosis factors (TNF), growth factors (GF), hematopoietins and colony stimulating factors (CSF).

CAPITULO 38 NOTA 7

For the purposes of heading 38.26, the term “biodiesel” means mono-alkyl esters of fatty acids of a kind used as a fuel, derived from animal or vegetable fats and oils whether or not used.

CAPITULO 42 NOTA 1

For the purposes of this Chapter, the term “leather” includes chamois (including combination chamois) leather, patent leather, patent laminated leather and metallised leather.

CAPITULO 44 NOTA DE SUBPARTIDA 1

For the purposes of subheading 4401.31, the expression “wood pellets” means by-products such as cutter shavings, sawdust or chips, of the mechanical wood processing industry, furniture-making industry or other wood transformation activities, which have been agglomerated either directly by compression or by the addition of a binder in a proportion not exceeding 3 % by weight. Such pellets
are cylindrical, with a diameter not exceeding 25 mm and a length not exceeding 100 mm.

This Chapter does not cover :
(q) Articles of Chapter 96 (for example, buttons, sanitary towels (pads) and tampons, napkins (diapers) and napkin liners for babies).

CAPITULO XI NOTA 7 c)

For the purposes of this Section, the expression “made up” means :
(c) Cut to size and with at least one heat-sealed edge with a visibly tapered or compressed border and the other edges treated as described in any other subparagraph of this Note, but excluding fabrics the cut edges of which have been prevented from unravelling by hot cutting or by other simple means;

CAPITULO 56 NOTA 1 f)

This Chapter does not cover :
(f) Sanitary towels (pads) and tampons, napkins and napkin liners for babies and similar articles of heading 96.19.

CAPITULO 84 NOTA 2 b)

Subject to the operation of Note 3 to Section XVI and subject to Note 9 to this Chapter, a machine or appliance which answers to a description in one or more of the headings 84.01 to 84.24, or heading 84.86 and at the same time to a description in one or other of the headings 84.25 to 84.80 is to be classified under the appropriate heading of the former group or under heading 84.86, as the case may
be, and not the latter group.
Heading 84.19 does not, however, cover :
(b) Grain dampening machines (heading 84.37);

CAPITULO 95 NOTA DE SUBPARTIDA 1

Subheading 9504.50 covers :
(a) Video game consoles from which the image is reproduced on a television receiver, a monitor or other external screen or surface; or
(b) Video game machines having a self-contained video screen, whether or not portable.
This subheading does not cover video game consoles or machines operated by coins, banknotes, bank cards, tokens or by any other means of payment (subheading 9504.30).
